Ivy Tech Evansville Campus

The Ivy Tech Evansville Campus additions and renovations was a 28 million dollar project that completely renovated the colleges campus. The project was completed in two phases which lasted through multiple semester of classes. Work was phased and designed so as not to interrupt the students during construction. Phase I included a new heating and cooling plant with two 250 ton chillers and 10,000,000 BTU/hr boilers. The boilers are low temperature condensing boilers with variable primary pumping. The chilled water system is also a variable primary pumping system with pressure independent control valves. Phase II included the addition of a 200 Ton heat recovery chiller to provide energy efficient reheat for the variable air volume system. Occupancy sensors are integrated with the variable air volume system to reduce space ventilation and fan energy when spaces are unoccupied.
